The semester is coming to an end and I couldn’t be happier. This
was my first semester back to school in five years and everything was confusing
and hard to figure out right away, but as a couple weeks went by it all seem to
be easier. Once I figured out what all my teachers wanted and expected from me
it was less stressful. English is one of my worst subjects, and one that I struggle
the most in. Grammar and writing papers are my weakness, I sit there and stare
at the assignment and I know what I want to say or do but nothing comes out as
good as it is in my head.
When I signed up for English 1117 I was so scared to fail, little
did I know that the grade I maintained throughout the semester is the best
grade I have ever got in any English class I have taken. When reading the syllabus
for the first time and saw all those essays that were I assigned I got even
more nervous, but each essay I wrote I think I got a little better at writing. I
have never worked so hard to write a paper before this semester, and now I am
not as scared to write papers like I used to be. English is not as scary to me
as it once was.
